To our Mise Conference family,
At the dawn of the Mise Conference, and when we held our first event in Atlanta in 2017, we had no idea that our gathering of 114 hotel chefs, sponsors and industry allies would become a sold-out affair with triple the number of attendees and one of the most looked-forward-to events on the hotel F&B calendar. Our goal was always to create a place for hotel F&B professionals to gather, develop their skills and recharge their creativity and passion for the craft. The sponsors that signed on understood that mission, and their place within it - that they could do more than just sell product but be partners and allies and learn the unique challenges and opportunities of hotel F&B alongside their customers.
After almost a decade of planning and producing the Mise Conference, we’ve reached the difficult and bittersweet conclusion that it’s time to sunset. We’re enormously proud of what it became, and know that it was only possible due to the commitment and energy of so many of you reading this right now. From our all-star beverage team at Spirits in Motion and Mix Right Creative, to the chefs in the kitchen, our “angel” volunteers, and all the speakers and panelists who graced our stages and breakout rooms. A massive thank you to our sponsor community, who fought for us in budget meetings and planning sessions, and brought your best to our show every year. And most of all, thanks to the Hotel F&B professionals who carved out the time from your families and day jobs to be with us each August.
At the end, sharing your expertise and love of your craft, your struggles and your solutions is what makes it all work. It’s our hope that even without Mise, you’ll remember to come together with your colleagues, peers and loved ones to do just that. If that’s the legacy of Mise, it will have been worth it.
Always here as you need us,
Jaclyn
